Providing a complete multimedia experience in a thin and elegant clamshell design, The Nokia N75 brings all the latest cell phone media and calling capabilities to the table while still incorporating Nokia’s renowned ease of use. As the first Nokia phone released with Cingular to boast 3G capabilities, the N75 lives up to high expectations with included features such as S60 smartphone OS software, a full Web browser, a bright and colorful QVGA main display, external camera and music controls, a 2.0-megapixel camera, USB mass storage capabilities, Bluetooth, a memory card slot, and more. Simply put, it’s the perfect companion to Cingular Wireless service.

Classic Nokia craftsmanship with the power of the Symbian smartphone operating system.

A gorgeous secondary display keeps tabs on vital things, such as your music. View larger.

And a 2.0-megapixel camera graces the rear. View larger.
Design
Audiophiles will love the N75’s generous 40 MB of internal memory storage and memory card slot capabilities. The generously sized, 240 x 320 internal screen supports over 16-million colors, while a sharp and crisp outer screen sports a 128 x 160, 260,000 full color resolution. Just below the outer screen you’ll find convenient media control keys–a great way to flip through your favorite tracks without ever needing to open the phone. Flipping open the phone reveals a traditional looking 5-way navigation button and backlit keypad that collectively controls all the phone’s calling functions and most media functions. Turning the clamshell over reveals its advanced camera lens and flash. Meanwhile, the memory card slot resides on the phone’s left side and volume control keys can be found on the right side. Lastly, high-speed data transfer to and from the device is supported by the N75’s USB 2.0-compatible “Pop-Port.”

Calling Features
The N75’s address book is only limited by the amount of available memory, and it can store multiple phone numbers, as well as physical and email addresses. Meanwhile, the phone’s built-in speakerphone makes it easy to talk without having the phone to your ear. Polyphonic ringtones are included, as is a vibrating alert, and you can use your favorite music as ringtones. Ringer IDs let you assign specific ringtones to particular callers, while picture ID technology lets you similarly assign images or pictures to callers. More ringers can be downloaded from Cingular’s MEdia Net service. In addition to speaker-independent voice recognition dialing, the phone also features technology that lets you control menu functions with your voice. Lastly, the phone’s Bluetooth connectivity means that your favorite Bluetooth headset is fully compatible.

Messaging, Internet and Tools
Getting on the Internet is easy with the N75. The highly intuitive Nokia Web browser with Mini Map delivers desired Web pages with their original design directly to the phones high-resolution color display. Furthermore, the browser enables RSS feeds, so users can subscribe to their favorite Web sites and receive regular updates. Keeping in touch with friends is just as easy as from your home computer, but the Nokia N75 is always with you–just follow simple set-up prompts to access an existing compatible email account or standard SMS and MMS features. Designed to work on Cingular’s 3G, EDGE and GSM networks, the Nokia N75 provides a fantastic Web browsing experience at blazing fast speeds–ideal for both leisure and business applications.

And don’t forget, because the N75 is a Symbian smartphone, it supports opening and editing of those important attachments–documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, and more.

The N75 supports PC synchronization via USB or Bluetooth, which means you can manage and synchronize contacts, calendar and other data with your PC. Nokia’s PC Suite application makes this process a breeze. You can also use Bluetooth to connect a wireless keyboard for efficient text entry. A number of handy software tools are bundled with the N75 including a voice memo recorder, a calculator, a calendar, a to-do list, and an alarm clock. On top of all that, a wide range of applications are available for Symbian devices like the N75.

Imaging and Entertainment
This is where the real fun begins. A mere click of the dedicated camera key on the Nokia N75 results in a sharp, ready to print 2.0-megapixel (1600 x 1200 pixels) photos. With a 16x digital zoom, an integrated flash LED, you can expect excellent quality from the photos taken. This entertainment device doubles as a mini TV screen, too, making it an ideal choice for optimized viewing of streaming and downloaded video clips. Featuring MPEG-4 video capture and playback in landscape mode, the Nokia N75 delivers an instant video experience with audio recording. With internal memory of up to 40 MB, which can be further expanded with an optional microSD card of up to 2 GB, the N75 allows you to capture up to 500 minutes of high quality video or close to 2500 2.0-megapixel photos. Additionally, once you’ve got all the pictures you want on your memory card, you can connect the phone directly to any PictBridge-compatible printer for instantaneous printing right from the phone.

The Nokia N75 music experience excels even with the device closed. The digital music player has easy to use controls on the cover of the device, and the reflective 1.36-inch color cover display guides you to your music, which is always just a button press away. Supporting a multitude of different formats, including MP3, M4A, AAC, eAAC+ and WMA, the advanced digital music player includes an equalizer, playlist, shuffle, and repeat features for a direct connection to compatible online music services. When you connect the Nokia N75 to your compatible PC, a mere tap on the music key acts as an instant link to music stored. The PC-mobile synchronization redirects your favorite tunes straight to the Nokia N75, which can store up to 1,500 individual tracks on an optional 2 GB microSD card. In addition to playing downloaded music and ripped CDs, the Nokia N75 also includes a stereo FM radio, allowing you to listen to your favorite talk or music radio stations through your compatible headphones or through the integrated 3D stereo speakers.

Best 3g Phone AT&T has to offer

The first thing you should do when you get this phone is change the packet data from “when available” to “when needed”.
This is done by going to settings–>config–>connection–>packet data
This will solve the battery complaints posted by others. I can get ~2.5 days on a single charge.

I have had 3 long weeks to use and abuse the features of this phone.

Size wise: If you have a problem putting this phone in your pocket, get some looser fitting pants. People are probably seeing more than your phone bulging if this is the case.

Buttons: The whole keypad is spacious including the D-pad. I have large hands and find the tactility of the buttons to be high and are very easy for texting. The keypad buttons even tilt a little and make it easy to slide your hand around during fast texting/e-mailing.

Camera: Not a strong point. In some situations there is a green tint to the photos. The camera works best outside in sunlight and will produce pictures acceptable for a 5×7 with no green tint. … read more ….

A wonderful phone. Solid, well constructed, and feature-filled.

Pros: Reception, call quality, great music playing capabilities, large base of available applications, lots of customization.
Cons: Battery life is not outstanding, camera not great in low-light.
I have had this phone for two weeks now, and I really like it – A LOT. I am a big man (6′2″), and I HATE the little teeny phones with their small buttons that are popular now. Most new phones are too small for me and, with the light weight and small ……read more….

Excellent slider. Great Value. Slick Design

A long-time Motorola phone user now converted. Not only is this phone lightweight and amazing looking, it’s feature packed.

Pros:

- Crystal-clear calling. No static and loud when needed.
- The screen is amazing. The resolution is awesome. By far the best I’ve ever seen on a phone this size.
- This phone is tiny; in a good way. Super-slim and tucks nicely in your pocket. Being that it’s a slider, you’ll never have to worry about pocket-dialing.
- The software is very easy to navigate. This is nicely improved over the Motorola interface of my older RAZR.
- The MP3 player rocks; no pun intended. The Walkman software lets you sort by Artists, Albums, Tracks, Playlists and more. This is light-years ahead of the my old RAZR’s MP3 player. This one rivals any standalone MP3 device I’ve used.
- The stereo headphones that comes with it include a 3.5mm adapter. While the included headphones sound great, this adapter gives you the flexibility to use your Bose, Shure or other stereo headphones. A very nice option.
- Unlike “some” other sliders, the camera is protected and kept under cover when the slide is closed. This works great in keeping dust off the lens.
- The 2.0MP camera is actually pretty good. It takes great outdoor photos.
- I LOVE the fitness/step counter. It measures distance in steps and calculated miles along with the calories you’ve burned. It also keeps a daily average and each days results.

Cons:

- No 3G
- Sony Proprietary Memory Stick Micro M2 versus easy to find and less expensive MicroSD
- No LED Flash or Photo Light

In conclusion, if you are looking for a super-slim phone with great call quality and superb music capability, look no further. This Sony wears the Walkman name with pride. … read more ….

Amazon.com Product Description
Adding a fashionable touch to Research in Motion’s formidable arsenal of telephonic, PIM, and media tools, the BlackBerry 8320 Curve for T-Mobile is also the smallest, lightest BlackBerry phone that includes a full QWERTY keyboard. This amalgam of the svelte BlackBerry Pearl and the more business-oriented 8800 combines RIM’s long-valued corporate email and messaging platform with a host of advanced multimedia features, including a 2-megapixel camera and stereo Bluetooth (for listening to music via wireless headphones). In addition to its quad-band GSM and EDGE connectivity, it also offers Wi-Fi connectivity for access to the Internet and email as well as access to T-Mobile’s Hotspot @Home service. This version comes in titanium, but it’s also available in pale gold.

The Curve’s full QWERTY keyboard and the innovative trackball navigation system (placed above the keyboard) makes accessing your data and writing email a breeze..

The 2-megapixel camera makes it easy to capture pictures to send via email or upload to your online photo collection.
T-Mobile Service Options
With T-Mobile HotSpot @Home service, you’ll effortlessly transition between Wi-Fi calling and T-Mobile’s wireless network while you talk. You can get unlimited nationwide calls over Wi-Fi–at home via your wireless router or at any U.S. T-Mobile HotSpot. You can also use the HotSpot @Home service via most open, or unsecured, wireless routers, as well as any secured wireless router for which you have access to the password from the owner. This phone is compatible with the 802.11b/g Wi-Fi standard as well as the following wireless security protocols: WEP, WPA (TKIP), WPA2 (AES-CCMP), LEAP, PEAP, EAP-TLS, EAP-TTLS, EAP-FAST, EAP-SIM, EAP-AKA. Whenever you’re not using a Wi-Fi network, the Curve works just like a regular mobile phone, using your Whenever Minutes under your T-Mobile voice plan.

This phone also includes compatibility with T-Mobile’s myFaves service, which allows you to call up to five of your most common contacts–on any network, even landlines–without using any of your minutes. Learn more about myFaves from T-Mobile.
BlackBerry 8320 Curve Titanium Technical Details

Smallest, lightest BlackBerry with full QWERTY keyboard–weighs just 3.9 ounces

Wi-Fi connectivity for Web browsing and access to T-Mobile’s Hotspot @Home unlimited calling service

BlackBerry 8320 Curve Titanium Reviews

From Amazon.com

Solid all around performer

The Blackberry 8320 builds upon the popular Curve with the addition of WIFI and the ability to use both data and voice over WIFI. This is a bonus for those of us located slightly outside of the optimal coverage range for T-Mobile.

In addition, if you travel overseas and are within range of a WIFI hotspot, you’ll be able to user your 8320 without any extra roaming or International fees (International fees always apply if you call International numbers – however you could use this phone overseas to call home without any added costs).

Some of the things I like about this phone:

1. The camera takes nice pictures and I’ve used it as a substitute for my regular digital camera. As with all cell phone cameras, the best quality is when you take a picture in direct sunlight. I upload the photos via email to my flikr account.

2. RSS reader built into the web browser

3. Spell checker now built into OS (just remember to correct any mis-spellings before you holster the device or the next time you look at your Blackberry you may see it reporting a spelling error and asking if you want to still send the email — which you thought you sent hours ago) … read more ….

Excellent Smartphone!

Pros: Excellent feature set, customizable, VOIP
Cons: A little larger than regular phones
I am a first time Blackberry user and have been using the Blackberry Curve 8320 through TMobile for approx. 2 months now. Here’s my view on it: Set up was very easy.
Samsung Blackjack II Black Smartphone Reviews

From Amazon.com

Overall an awesome WM6 smartphone!

Personal background: I am a medical resident who loves tech/gadgets, and who has used a PocketPC (HP Ipaq 1910) since 2003 and a Blackjack (i607) since 2007. Currently an AT&T customer.

So I recently sold my Blackjack I on the world’s favorite auction site and bought a Blackjack II (i617) from the same site. Here’s my breakdown, but keep in mind that some pros and some cons are based on the phone or the operating system. Anywayz… read more ….

From Epinions.com

Full Featured and in a Small Package Too

The Blackjack II comes with house charger, data cable/computer charger and an enclosed program disk for installing the interface needed for syncing the device with your computer. It also has the ability to act as a wireless modem hence the sync cable …read more….

From CNet Reviews

The Blackjack II is an attractive, feature rich phone, but it doesn’t fully… read more….

AT&T Tilt Smartphone Reviews

From Amazon.com

Forget the iPhone, this is the killer smartphone to get!

I was lucky enough to hear that this phone had been released just days after I had bought the 8525 to replace a previous broken phone. There seemed to be some confusion with the AT&T sales people, since currently with rebates it sells for less than the 8525 and some internal memo seems to have them telling customers that a different update to the 8525 is still coming. Make no mistake, this is the upgrade for the 8525 and it’s a beauty! … read more …
